| "So far about 12 courses of Vipassana exclusively
for youth have been conducted in the Vipassana centre in the JNEC-MGM
college campus, Aurangabad. Besides, over the past 3 years other ten-day
courses there have also had atleast 50% college students as participants.
The Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD), Pune, one of the leading management schools in India has already had 4 of their entire batches attend Vipassana courses over the past 3 years. As part of their curriculum, they have a 1-hour daily sitting of Vipassana meditation every evening. The Symbiosis Institute of Foreign Trade (SIFT), Pune, among the only two foreign trade institutes in India also began sending its entire batch of students last year for the Vipassana course. They intend to send their batches this year too. Many students from the Mangalore university, IIT Bombay and Delhi and the Pune colleges- Fergusson and Institute of Management and Development Research (IMDR) have attended Vipassana courses." |
